Former Senior Strategic Data Analyst at InSight, part of the Office of the Vice Chancellor at Monash University, Monika Sarder has spent several years working as a data scientist. She has been involved in developing predictive and diagnostic models across government, university and the hospital sectors, aimed at improving organisational and administrative decision making.
She is primarily interested in mechanisms for bridging the gap between regulators and data scientists. That is, ensuring that key principles ensuring accountable, transparent and inclusive decision making are translated when it comes to the development of the algorithms and models by data science teams.
