About the Academic Fellows Program
Who are ANZSOG Academic Fellows?
Academic Fellows are leading scholars who collaborate with ANZSOG to support applied research, policy-relevant insight, and knowledge exchange. Fellows work alongside public sector professionals to translate research into practice, build shared understanding and inform thinking on contemporary policy and governance challenges.
The program includes both Resident Academic Fellows from ANZSOG partner universities and Visiting Academic Fellows from institutions around the world, bringing diverse perspectives, expertise and global insights into ANZSOG’s work.
How the fellowship works
Academic Fellows engage with ANZSOG through time-bound fellowships designed to be flexible, collaborative and responsive to evolving public sector priorities. Fellowships vary in length and format, enabling scholars to contribute in ways that align with their expertise, interest, availability and areas of focus.
Engagements may include applied research, knowledge exchange activities, practitioner engagement, thought leadership and collaborative learning initiatives. Through these activities fellows contribute to cross-disciplinary collaboration and bring diverse perspectives to contemporary policy and governance challenges, with a strong focus on relevance to public sector practice.
