Senior executive with deep experience in leadership and government systems
Miguel Amaral, a French national, is Senior Policy Analyst at the Regulatory Policy Division. He heads the work on better regulation and innovation which led, in particular, to the 2021 OECD Recommendation on Agile Regulatory Governance to Harness Innovation. Prior to joining the OECD, he served as Head of the Infrastructure Managers Unit at the French Transport Regulator and as Chair of the bi-national permanent service for the regulation of the Channel Tunnel.
Miguel holds a PhD in Economics from the University Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne.
