Professor with extensive experience in public sector leadership and policy
Fred Gale is Professor and Head of Discipline of Politics and International Relations in the School of Social Sciences, University of Tasmania. His research focuses on rethinking the discipline of political economy from sustainability and systems perspectives and working through the implications of this for consumption, production, trade, investment, and governance. He has a long standing interest in the theory and practice of multistakeholder governance with sectoral expertise in forestry, fisheries, egg, organics, fair trade and energy standards, certification and labelling schemes.
