Edward Swann is an Indigenous Liaison and Regulatory Officer in the Water Supply Regulation Team at the Department of Regional Development, Manufacturing and Water in Queensland. Growing up in Cairns, Ed has connections to the Torres Strait Islands (Badu Island). With his cultural background Ed demonstrates a duty of care for the traditional owners of the land and passion working in engagement and continuous improvement of water services within indigenous communities. Ed has been involved in establishing and organising the Queensland Indigenous Councils Water Operators Network (QICWON), as part of a broader Indigenous Engagement Strategy, to address the challenges presented.
