Overview
NRCoP CORPORATE MEMBER EVENT ONLY
If find out if your organisation is a NRCoP Corporate Member, please email us at regulators@anzsog.edu.au.
Join this interactive half-day workshop for NRCoP Corporate Member organisations, designed for regulatory HR/L&D practitioners, regulatory capability leaders, and regulatory leaders. Participants will begin shaping the foundations of their Regulatory Capability Framework (RCF), translating ideas into practical design decisions and identifying the next steps required to progress toward implementation.
The workshop is designed to support applied thinking, bridging conceptual understanding with the early design choices that determine how an RCF will function in practice. Through structured activities and peer discussion, participants will explore what is required to move from principles into workable design.
Why You Should Attend
Translate concepts into design decisions – and turn forming ideas into concrete elements of an RCF design.
Engage in structured early-stage design thinking – and participate in guided design rounds focused on defining core components, architecture, and practical considerations for implementation.
Refine thinking through peer exchange – and test assumptions and approaches in a collaborative setting, drawing on a range of perspectives to strengthen clarity and coherence.
Leave the workshop with a clear direction for next steps and with defined priorities, design choices, and an actionable pathway for progressing toward build and implementation.
Objectives
By the end of this workshop, participants will have:
Critically reflected on key insights from pre-reading materials and identify implications for their own organisational context.
Developed a shared understanding of what a Regulatory Capability Framework is intended to achieve, and the different ways it can be defined (skills, competencies, capabilities, or alternative constructs).
Clarified the intended scope and audience of their RCF, including who it should apply to across the regulatory workforce.
Surfaced and compared different perspectives on how an RCF can be developed, including build, adapt, or hybrid approaches and sources of regulatory expertise.
Explored how an RCF could be embedded into workforce planning, capability development, and day-to-day regulatory work.
Identified early areas of alignment, tension, and uncertainty to inform next-stage design decisions.
**Participation in NRCoP activities is for the purpose of connecting and building the professionalism of practising regulators and not for undertaking any form of commercial activity
