In this ANZSOG Thought Leadership event, ANZSOG Academic Fellow Professor Jo Barraket will explore the relationships, partnerships and networks that underpin effective public governance. Drawing on research and practical examples from across Australia and internationally, she will examine how governments can work more effectively with the social economy to design policy, deliver services and respond to complex challenges.
Through examples including social and inclusive procurement, not-for-profit sector development and social enterprise research, Jo will explore what public sector leaders can learn from relational approaches to governance and why outcomes are often shaped as much by relationships as by formal institutions and processes.
