Professor with extensive experience in public sector leadership and policy
Todd Bridgman is Professor of Management Studies and Head of the School of Management at Victoria University of Wellington/Te Herenga Waka. Todd completed his PhD in organisation studies at the University of Cambridge. His research and teaching is focused on investigating the origins of foundational theories of management.
Todd’s research explores how these myths of management contribute to organisational dysfunction and damage. He believes that understanding how and why these misrepresentations happen creates space for alternative ways of learning about management, and of practising management, to take hold.
Before becoming an academic Todd trained and worked as a journalist and he continues to pursue this interest through case writing and teaching.
