James is a former Chair of the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC).
James is now a Senior Fellow at Melbourne University’s Law School and recently completed a term at Oxford University where he was a visiting research fellow at the Commercial Law Centre. After a career in law, finance, and financial regulation across the globe (Hong Kong, Singapore, London, Boston, and Thailand) including working at the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission, Goldman Sachs, Linklaters, and Harvard University, James is now working on improving regulatory systems.
