Paris Aristotle AO

    Senior executive with deep experience in leadership and government systems

    Paris Aristotle AO is the Chief Executive Officer of the Victorian Foundation for Survivors of Torture Inc., also known as Foundation House, a position he has held for the past 30 years. Throughout this period Foundation House has grown from and organisation with a single staff member to a team in excess of 210 with a reputation as a leader in its field nationally and internationally.  

    Paris has served on a wide range of state and federal government ministerial advisory councils. In 2012 Paris was appointed to the Prime Minister’s Expert Panel on Asylum Seekers. He was the Chair of the Council for Immigration Services and Status Resolution and the Ministers Council for Asylum Seekers and Detention and is currently the Chair of the Settlement Services Advisory Council (SSAC). He is also an executive member of the Forum of Australian Services for Survivors of Torture and Trauma (FASSTT). 

    In 2017 Paris was made an Officer of the Order of Australia (AO), he was named the 2017 Victorian Australian of the Year and was awarded an Honorary Doctorate in the field of social sciences from RMIT University.
