Katie Miller, currently General Counsel and National Manager, Legal and Enforcement at AUSTRAC, is a leading government lawyer and advocate and commentator on the ways technology is changing the ways lawyers and government work. Katie has recently co-edited The Automated State: Implications, Challenges and Opportunities for Public Law, the first Australian book to cover in depth the public law implications of government automation. Prior to taking the role at AUSTRAC, she was Deputy Commissioner at Victoria’s Independent Broad-based Anti-corruption Commission.

In 2015, as President of the Law Institute of Victoria, Katie published a report on how technology is changing the legal profession – Disruption, Innovation and Change: The Future of the Legal Profession.
