Overview
Around Australia, regulators are stepping up to the challenge of working in culturally responsive ways and showing by example that the results of working in partnership can be extraordinary, reducing harms and improving outcomes across a range of regulatory spheres.
This event will provide you with an opportunity to hear from regulators and communities working together in new and culturally informed regulatory practices that honour Indigenous knowledge and build partnerships founded on shared decision making. You will learn from regulators working on the ground in a range of regulatory sectors in Queensland, and hear about developments in higher education from the Northern Territory Treaty Commission and Charles Darwin University partnership.
Join us and be inspired. Learn how regulators can support governments across Australia strengthen their commitment to self-determination, treaty making and Closing the Gap.
This is an online and in-person event and NRCoP warmly invites regulators, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander public servants and interested participants in the community-controlled sector to attend.
