Dr Zareh Ghazarian is a Senior Lecturer in Politics and International Relations at Monash University. He holds a PhD in Political Science from Monash University and is co-editor of Australian Politics and Policy (2024), author of The Making of a Party System (2015) and co-author of Australian Politics for Dummies (2nd edition, 2022). 

Dr Zareh worked for the Parliament of Victoria prior to commencing his PhD. He has also been a Chief Investigator on research projects for government departments and agencies including the Australian Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet, and the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority. Dr Zareh was awarded the Australian Prime Minister’s Centre Fellowship for 2015-16. He is a leading commentator on politics and public policy and is regularly called upon by national and international media to provide analysis. Dr Zareh is a member of the Australian Political Studies Association and International Political Science Association.
