Peter Boyle is Chief Pharmacist at the Tasmanian Department of Health. Peter has over two decades experience in medicines and poisons regulation. His notable regulatory accomplishments include the development and rollout of Australia’s first Real-Time Reporting System for prescription medications and the development of robust, evidence-informed and clinician-led clinical-regulatory quality assurances processes for high-risk, dependence producing medicines.

He led the development and implementation of Tasmania’s Controlled Access Scheme for medical cannabis products. Peter also had responsibility for the development and implementation of an Events Framework for gatherings during the pre-vaccine stage of Tasmania’s COVID response.
