Lily Dekic is a seasoned senior executive and currently serves as the Deputy Commissioner of Wage Inspectorate Victoria (WIV). She joined WIV in May 2022, bringing a wealth of experience from the Victorian Department of Transport, where she led the strategic direction of the Transport Regulatory Operations branch.

With over two decades of leadership in the regulatory sector, Lily has held senior management and executive roles at WorkSafe Victoria, served as a complex case inspector within the federal workplace relations system, and worked as a private investigator.

Lily has been a prominent voice in regulatory innovation, presenting at the Hatchery Intelligence-Led Regulation Conference in 2022. More recently, she has represented WIV as a spokesperson for Child Employment campaigns, appearing in radio interviews to raise awareness about child employment and licensing.

She played a pivotal role in leading the change management and legislative reform of the Child Employment Act 2003, overseeing the transition from a permitting system to a licensing framework for employing children under 15 years of age.
