Dr Jodie Vaile is the Executive Branch Manager for Strategy, Data & Governance at Access Canberra, one of the ACT’s key regulatory agencies. In her current role, Jodie leads business and regulatory improvement, strategic planning, procurement and project management, strategic risk evaluation and mitigation as well as data analytics and reporting.

Jodie has a PhD in Communication and Cultural Studies from the University of Canberra and over 25 years’ experience working across federal and state government, and academic domains. Jodie is passionate about the role of evidence-led decision making in government.

In previous roles Jodie has led the development of the ACT’s public health approach to gambling harm, led the human resource research function in the Department of Defence and headed up Defence’s education and prevention team within the Sexual Misconduct Prevention and Response Office. Prior to this Jodie lectured at the University of Canberra in the Communications and Cultural Studies fields.
