Catherine Weber is Chief Executive of the Northern Territory’s Department of Corporate and Digital Development, following appointment in September 2024. This is a key central agency providing shared services across the Northern Territory Government. 

Prior to this, Catherine worked for the Department of Treasury and Finance as Deputy Under Treasurer for 7 years.  Catherine has also held positions at a Deputy Chief Executive level in various NT Government agencies from 2010, including Northern Territory Police and the Departments of Education, Housing, Local Government and Regional Services, along with senior executive roles in Office of the Commissioner for Public Employment and the Departments of Health, Tourism, Sport and Culture, and Treasury and Finance. Earlier career roles ranged across agencies in both Alice Springs and Darwin. 

Catherine is focused on corporate strategy, governance, risk and growing agency capability, as well as financial management, superannuation and organisational performance and review. She was awarded a Public Sector Medal in 2023 for her contribution to the growth and development of the Northern Territory through public service, including leading structural review processes and key policy initiatives, delivering financial sustainability and capacity, improving governance of key activities of government, and significantly improving people capability across the Northern Territory Public Sector. 

Catherine has a Master of Public Policy and a Bachelor of Economics, is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Member of the Australian Human Resources Institute.
