Overview
Join us in-person in Adelaide or online for this special event featuring James Shipton, former Chair of the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) and now Senior Fellow at Melbourne Law School as he outlines the structural faults facing regulators. By doing so James will highlight the key false assumptions that surround regulators and identify design flaws that very often prevent regulators from succeeding.
This promises to be a relatable and universally applicable session for anyone in a regulatory agency. It will take a deep look at where and how regulators sit in a system and the effect that has on our chances of success. Are regulators set up to succeed or fail, through funding models, governance structures and performance measures to name a few ‘fault lines’ that we will explore. Join us for a fascinating discussion (and maybe a bit of group therapy?!)
