Overview

Addressing cyber security, risks, and harms is becoming increasingly challenging for regulators and organisations, as they develop regulatory policy and operational regulatory responses.

These challenges are exacerbated because of the dynamic and complex world of technology, and emerging technologies.  And at a time when the call for regulators to protect government, businesses and community has never been greater.

The panel of speakers will share their experiences and insights across a range of issues, including:

  • How governments are thinking about regulation and regulating to mitigate the harms from cyber and tech-related risks;
  • How organisations and government agencies are protecting their own organisations from cyber-attacks;
  • The need for organisations to protect the personal information and data they collect; and
  • Lifting community awareness and enhancing public trust in regulatory, enforcement, and oversight institutions.

**Participation in NRCoP activities is for the purpose of connecting and building the professionalism of practising regulators and not for undertaking any form of commercial activity. Any information provided is solely for the purpose of learning and building capability in the regulatory community and should not be communicated in any public forums.
