The use of Body Worn Cameras by regulators as an operational tool is increasing. Join us as we explore the benefits and challenges for regulators navigating this new space. The collection and use of video and audio recordings is a long-standing practice by which regulators gather evidence to support their compliance and enforcement activities. We are now seeing a shift from traditional style recordings to the use of Body Worn Cameras as a key evidentiary tool, along with the many benefits in supporting safety of frontline officers. While regulators across jurisdictions and regulatory sectors will have their own unique legislative frameworks under which they operate, many of the issues and solutions are common for all regulators. Hear from our esteemed panel about what has driven their decisions to use Body Worn Cameras and how they have supported the complex role of undertaking investigations in varying regulatory environments.
