Overview
Frontline regulatory officers play a crucial role in minimising harm and maintaining safety and harmony in the community. On a daily basis, these officers are out in the field conducting investigations, dealing with non-compliant entities and taking enforcement action after violations. Often, they find themselves working in emotionally charged and conflictual situations which can make their role challenging and at times mentally and physically unsafe.
Supporting our frontline officers to identify and safely manage risk and deal with difficult or threatening situations is critical for all regulatory agencies. When officers don’t feel safe, or when they are feeling stressed or burnt out, they cannot effectively perform their regulatory functions.
Join us to hear from our very experienced panel on how we can prioritise the safety and wellbeing of our frontline regulators in the field. With examples across a range of regulatory spheres, the panel will equip you with insights and practical guidance to take back to your workplace.
