Overview
There is no doubt that we live in unpredictable times. It can seem as though the only constant is change. Yet, through the confusion, we need to stay the course. We need to be able to make strong, efficacious decisions. Yet, the stage for sound decision-making can be difficult.
Data can be scarce or even overwhelming. Time frames can be tight, tensions can be high, and implications can be grave. So, what do we do? Well, there are no easy answers, but there are strategies we can add to our tool chest. Strategies that can help with risk assessment, with effectiveness, with transparency, and with accountability. Strategies that can help you make timely decisions that make the best use of available information, recognise uncertainty, balance risk, and inspire the confidence of others.
In this workshop, Dr Zina O’Leary will help you develop strategies that cut through the noise and lead to better decision making for sustainable situation improvement for your organisation.
The workshop will run online as two, 3–hour sessions with a one week break between sessions. It will incorporate a variety of inputs, group discussion and small group work.
This course is highly applied and will look directly at the issues currently facing public servants. The focus is on developing what participants will be able to do, not just what they will know.
