Directory update requestSimone Jackson is a proud Kamilaroi woman from South West Queensland and an accomplished senior public service leader with over 20 years’ experience in justice and human services in Queensland and the NT. Amongst many other accomplishments, in NT she was the Chief Witness for the Royal Commission into Institutional Child Sexual Abuse and in Queensland led Youth Justice reforms for the Department of Child Safety, Youth and Women. She is also a member of the Queensland Parole Board. Simone is committed to better outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples particularly reducing the numbers of young people in the child protection and youth justice systems and reducing the overrepresentation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander adults in the correctional system.
