Directory update request

Jennifer Farley leads the ATO’s Foreign Investment Program, a multifaceted role which includes providing strategic advice to the Commonwealth Treasurer on tax risks related to foreign investment proposals, managing foreign ownership registry functions and co-regulating the Foreign Acquisitions and Takeovers Act in partnership with the Treasury. The role oversees the end-to-end client experience, from initial contact with Australian Government systems, through to litigation of serious non-compliance, and in 2022-23, she spearheaded the transition of this work into an authenticated and digitalised environment. Throughout her career, Jen has worked both inside and outside The Bubble, in policy, program management and regulatory roles in non-profit, state and Commonwealth agencies, including the Attorney-General’s Department and Prime Minister and Cabinet. She joined the Newcastle office of the ATO in 2011, having relocated from Canberra back to her hometown of Newcastle to be closer to family.
