Helen Spencer is the Executive Director in the Office of the Director-General, Department of Justice and Attorney-General. Helen is passionate about creating public value and delivering positive outcomes for the people of Queensland. She has 25 years’ experience in public policy and implementation in the Queensland Government, having held senior strategy, reform and service delivery roles in several agencies including Resources; Environment; Infrastructure, Local Government and Planning, Justice and Attorney-General and the Queensland Police Service. Helen has significant experience at senior levels supporting Directors-General and Ministers and has led significant government reform agendas, collaborating across Government and with stakeholders on a range of sensitive and contentious issues. Helen holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Public Policy and recently completed the ANZSOG Executive Master of Public Administration. She has also undertaken the Towards Strategic Leadership program and is proud to be an ANZSOG Ambassador.
