Overview
Join us as we explore the public value of regulation, why regulation matters and why we need to shift the narrative away from ‘burden’ and towards the positive value regulation plays. Our panel will explore two cases from the Tasmanian context that highlight the crucial role that regulators play in creating public value, minimising harm and protecting the community and the environment.
Join our panel to hear Professor Fred Gale (The University of Tasmania), Peter Boyles (Department of Health) and Ann Hamilton (Department of Natural Resources and Environment) in conversation with Rose Webb (NRCoP).
Facilitator: Rose Webb, Chair NRCoP
Guest Presenter 1: Professor Fred Gale, Professor & Head of Discipline of Politics and International Relations, The University of Tasmania
Guest Presenter 2: Peter Boyles, Chief Pharmacist, Department of Health, Tasmania
Guest Presenter 3: Ann Hamilton, Conservation Program Officer, Department of Natural Resources and Environment, Tasmania
