Overview
Problems. Our organisations are plagued with them. Some we see coming, but others sneak up on us. Fires need to be put out on a daily basis, and we are sometimes left with little time to tackle our core business, let alone plan for an improved future. This means that the ability to meet problems head on in the most efficient, effective and sustainable fashion is essential for any professional wanting to make their mark.
In this workshop, Dr Zina O’Leary will take you through the challenges of tackling issues before they become problems; identifying problems so that they can be addressed; analysing problems so that effective strategies can be developed; and resolving problems in a sustainable fashion that satisfies a range of stakeholders.
What will you learn?
On completion of this course, participants will better understand:
- why it is important to be ahead of problems
- how to address problems holistically
- the importance of minding stakeholder perspectives
- the need for sustainable solutions
Participants will also be able to:
- control issues before they become problems
- identify problems as they arise
- analyze problems from a variety of perspectives
- efficiently and effectively engage in problem resolution
Who should attend?
The workshop is aimed at the early to mid-career public sector, local government, and not-for-profit employees who are looking to expand their ability to get ahead of ‘problems’.
