Established in 2018, the ANZSOG Alumni Advisory Council (AAC) is the peak representative body for ANZSOG’s 4,500+ alumni across Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand. The Council plays a vital role in shaping the future of ANZSOG and strengthening the alumni community’s influence across the public sector.
Purpose and Role
The Council provides strategic advice to the ANZSOG Dean/CEO and Executive Management Team, drawing on the expertise and engagement of alumni to:
- Represent alumni interests and perspectives
- Guide the development of alumni programs and services
- Strengthen connections between alumni, ANZSOG, and the public sector
- Support ANZSOG’s mission as a demand-driven agency created by governments
Objectives
The Council is committed to:
- Building a strong, engaged, and cohesive alumni community
- Facilitating two-way communication between alumni, ANZSOG, and public services
- Supporting high-quality, innovative alumni programs
- Engagement with a local alumni jurisdiction chapters.
- Promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion in alumni engagement
Membership and Structure
The Alumni Advisory Council represents alumni interests across all 10 ANZSOG jurisdictions, as outlined in its Terms of Reference. Members are appointed through an open Expression of Interest (EOI) process and serve a two-year term. The Council is led by a Chair and Deputy Chair, both elected by fellow Council members.

Chair – Peta Roberston
Peta graduated from the Executive Master Public Administration Program 2011 and is Chair of ANZSOG’s Alumni Advisory Council.

Joycelyn graduated from the Executive Master Public Admiration Program 2015 and is a Deputy Chair of ANZSOG’s Alumni Advisory Council.
