Jill is a skilled and experienced senior public servant with over twenty years working in executive and senior leadership roles in Health, Education and Housing. She has a strong operational/programme delivery background which is complemented by strategic and executive expertise.
She has worked for Ministers of the Crown, held responsibility for staffing and managing Ministerial offices, and held accountability for the organisational delivery and compliance of all machinery of government work. She has led national programmes of work to implement government policies and worked on whole of government taskforces and cross-agency work programmes. Most recently Jill was responsible for the delivery of the refresh of the New Zealand Health Strategy – a ten-year plan setting the direction for the Health System.
Jill has also led organisational change and culture change programmes and she co-authored and facilitated two national staff training programmes focusing on customer service expertise and leadership development.
She has a Master of Business Administration from Waikato University and an Executive Master of Public Administration (EMPA) from ANZSOG – class of 2005.
In February 2019 Jill took up the role of Chief Executive New Zealand Kindergartens.
