Directory update requestProfessor Kristy Muir is the CEO of the Centre for Social Impact (CSI) and a Professor of Social Policy in the Business School at UNSW Sydney. She has had a distinguished career that spans almost 30 years working with for-purpose organisations in Australia, first in the not-for-profit sector and now in academia.
Kristy has founded and teaches into several highly regarded courses at CSI and has an impressive record in research, having published widely in a range of academic journals and popular media outlets, and holding a PhD in social history.
Presently, Kristy sits on several boards and committees, including at UNSW Sydney, Allan & Gill Gray Philanthropy Australasia, the Australian Research Alliance for Children & Youth, the NSW Premier’s Council on Homelessness, and the Gonski Institute for Education.
Kristy was formerly CSI’s Research Director (2013-15), the Associate Dean Research (Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, 2011-13) and the Director of the Disability Studies and Research Centre (2009-2010) at UNSW Sydney
