Directory update requestStuart is Acting Executive Director, Education at the Australia and New Zealand School of Government leading the development, facilitation, and quality assurance of ANZSOG’s accredited and non-accredited executive leadership programs.
He is an educational leader, research manager, and strategic specialist with twenty-five years professional experience across the secondary, vocational, and tertiary education sectors in Australia and senior advisory roles in the Australian Parliament in both the House of Representatives and the Senate. Prior to his role at ANZSOG Stuart led educational design, innovation, compliance, and quality assurance initiatives at RMIT University and has been both a research institute and research engagement manager at the Australian Catholic University. Stuart is committed to sustaining the quality, continuous improvement, and relevance of ANZSOG’s education programs and promote new educational partnerships with ANZSOG’s university partners to address emerging capabilities needs across the public sector.
Other notable initiatives Stuart has undertaken include preparing a university wide Engagement and Impact report to the Australian Research Council that was evaluated as high impact, securing major government funding for the establishment of the RMIT University Space Research Centre and coordinating Budget Estimates and legislative review and amendments processes for significant national legislation before the Australian Senate.
Stuart is an alumnus and Ian Potter Foundation Fellow of the Asialink Leaders Program at the University of Melbourne and one of the first graduates of the Australian National Internships Program at the Australian National University. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in International Relations and Southeast Asian Studies, and a Graduate Diploma of Education, and is pursuing postgraduate studies in Leadership.
