Alice is a Director and senior regulator at NOPSEMA, Australia’s offshore energy regulator. Her work has a regulator has spanned over a decade, including establishment of new regulatory functions, implementing problem-centric approaches for high-consequence, low-likelihood risks, internal reform of compliance monitoring processes and a range of strategic projects – all while continuing the day to day of being a regulator. In her current role, Alice oversees a team of regulatory specialists, focussing on continuous improvement in environmental management of the offshore industry and ensuring industry’s ongoing capability and capacity to respond in the event of a hydrocarbon spill.

With tertiary qualifications as an environmental engineer (E. Eng (honours)) and scientist (B.Sc), Alice’s career has evolved from consulting and regulating in the environment arena, with a focus on environmental and social impact assessment, environmental risk management and regulatory craft.
