Eunice is a Director (Principal Veterinary Officer) at the Commonwealth Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry. She is also a Lead Auditor (ISO 9001) with 9 years’ experience across multiple regulatory policy and operational environments within the agency, spanning biosecurity, foreign government evaluation, trade access negotiation, and live animal import and export functions. Her current role draws on these experiences to focus on building productive partnerships with regulated entities to deliver better regulatory outcomes.

Eunice is interested in the relationship between approaches to regulatory practice and regulatory outcomes, and the metrics developed to measure these. She is keen to learn from other Australian regulators about the application of best practice regulation principles in diverse operational settings, and excited about the opportunity to establish and grow a network of professionals empowered to do the same.
