Professor with extensive experience in public sector leadership and policy
Associate Professor Dr Michael Eburn started his working life as an ambulance officer with NSW Ambulance, before taking up a position as a legal officer with NSW Health. In 1994, he joined the new School of Law at the University of New England, teaching criminal law and procedure, torts, health law and advocacy. In 2010, he was jointly appointed to the Fenner School of Environment and Society and the College of Law at ANU. His research interests include the law of emergency management and the operation of emergency services such as fire brigades, rescue and ambulance services, as well as international disaster response laws and policies.
