Directory update requestDr Jill Charker is Deputy Coordinator General, Resilience and Recovery, at the National Emergency Management Agency based in Canberra. Prior to her current role, Jill was a junior partner at McKinsey and Company, with a particular focus on public sector and organisational strategy. Jill has also previously held Deputy Secretary positions in a range of Commonwealth Government portfolios, including employment, immigration and border protection, and human services. She was formerly the CEO of ComSuper which administered Commonwealth superannuation schemes.
Jill holds a PhD and an Honours I degree in psychology, majoring in statistics. In addition, she has completed an Executive Master of Public Administration through the Australia and New Zealand School of Government (ANZSOG). She is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a Level 2 qualified executive coach through the Institute of Executive Coaching and Leadership, and a Fellow and Certified HR practitioner with the Australian HR Institute (AHRI).
Jill served on the inaugural ANZSOG Alumni Advisory Council from November 2018 to November 2020.
