Directory update requestAdam Graycar is Professor of Public Policy and Director of the Stretton Institute at the University of Adelaide. He has had careers in both academia and government.
He acquired extensive policy experience over 22 years in various senior level posts in both the Commonwealth and South Australian governments. Among his government posts were Director, Australian Institute of Criminology (Commonwealth statutory authority) and Head Cabinet Office, (Government of SA).
He has worked in universities in Australia, Europe, USA and Asia, as well as with agencies such as the United Nations and the World Bank. While Professor at the Australian National University he was the founder of the Transnational Research Institute on Corruption.
He has two doctorates from the University of NSW and is a Fellow of the Academy of the Social Sciences in Australia. His latest book is Handbook on Corruption, Ethics and Integrity in Public Administration.
