Jane Reid has worked in government communications and engagement since 1999 when she joined Treasury as a graduate in the Whole of Government GST Implementation team. Moving into gambling regulation, she implemented the world’s first responsible gambling awareness campaign which won the National Australian Marketing Institute of Australia Award for social marketing. Jane also implemented a revamped problem gambling campaign for Queensland as well as the Responsible Gambling Teaching Resource Kit.  

Shifting into transport, Jane managed the Road Safety Marketing and Communications Unit for Queensland managing the delivery of mass media campaigns as well as client campaigns promoting new products, policies and legislation and innovative social media sites. During this time her work was recognised at the Australian Marketing Institute of Australia awards for social marketing and digital and interactive media categories for the Share my Story campaign and best educational content for redevelopment of the young driver suite of materials and international recognition for the online speeding campaign ‘What Davo loves’. 

Jane has had a varied career working in retail, hospitality, health, education, community development, accessibility and youth advocacy. This allows her to bring a wide array of knowledge and understanding to her communication and engagement work developing materials which are focused on the needs of diverse target audiences to build awareness and motivate behaviour change and to address organisational objectives. She has especially valued the opportunity to work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse and Refugee communities.  She holds a Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Commerce, a Bachelor of International Business with Honours and a Diploma of Education.
