Veronica L. Taylor is Professor of Law and Regulation at the Australian National University in the School of Regulation and Global Governance (RegNet). She is a former Dean of the ANU College of Asia and the Pacific, an ANU Public Policy Fellow and the designer of the University’s education programs in Regulation and Governance. She is currently a lead in the ANU Steering Group on Nuclear Technology Stewardship.

Her work focusses on the professional practice of regulation, regulatory justice, rule of law, institutional reform, and corporate governance.

In Australia, Professor Taylor is a member of the NRCoP and an Expert Advisor to the Deregulation Taskforce in the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet. She leads ANU partnerships with the ACT Better Regulation Taskforce and Access Canberra. She is a non-Executive Director of ANU Enterprise.

Internationally she is known for her work as a development law reform advisor and designer in Afghanistan, China, Eurasia, Indonesia, Myanmar and the Philippines. Since 2018 she has been a Visiting Professor at the University of Tokyo, co-teaching the program she designed in South-East Asian Business Law. She received the Japanese Foreign Minister’s Citation in 2017.
