Dr Nicole Gillespie is Associate Professor in Management at the University of Queensland. Previously she held faculty positions at Warwick Business School and Melbourne Business School.  Trained as an organisational psychologist, Nicole’s research focuses on building and repairing trust in organisational contexts, as well as leadership, teamwork, organisational change, and employee engagement and well-being.  Her research is published in leading international journals (e.g. Academy of Management Review, Journal of Management, Human Resource Management, Business Ethics Quarterly and Sloan Management Review), and her latest co-edited book is Organizational Trust: A cultural perspective (Cambridge University Press).

Nicole is dedicated to translating research into practice and has written commissioned reports on Building and Repairing Organizational Trust for the Institute of Business Ethics (sponsored by PWC) and a policy note for the House of Lords, UK Parliament. She has conducted research for a range of public and private sector organisations (e.g. UBS Bank, Barclays, CSIRO, Origin Energy, Santos, The Royal Brisbane & Women’s Hospital, The Australian Army).

Nicole serves on the editorial boards of Leadership Quarterly and Journal of Trust Research and is an active member of the Academy of Management, the European Group of Organisational Studies, and the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Management. She has been teaching into the ANZSOG Executive Master in Public Administration since 2009 and is the recipient of five teaching excellence awards.
