Rebecca Gleeson is an experienced administrative lawyer and regulatory professional, with expertise in information regulation. Rebecca is currently a Review Officer at the Office of the Information Commissioner Queensland, where she applies her regulatory expertise conducting independent external review of information access decisions made by Queensland Government agencies. Her diverse career includes serving as an associate to a Judge of the Federal Court of Australia and Supreme and District Courts of Papua New Guinea, judicial review and appeals lawyer for the Nauru Government and executive officer for the National Disability Insurance Scheme division of the then Administrative Appeals Tribunal. She has also contributed to regulatory system improvements through specialised project work.

She holds dual bachelor degrees in Law and Behavioural Science (Psychology) from the Queensland University of Technology, bringing a unique perspective that combines legal expertise with psychological insight to regulatory practice.

As a junior member of the NRCoP, Rebecca is passionate about supporting early-career regulators and fostering knowledge sharing across the regulatory community.
