Luke Margelis is a Principal Legal Officer in the Legal team of the Department of Creative Industries, Tourism, Hospitality and Sport. In this role, Luke provides specialist legal support and advice to the Department’s Hospitality and Racing division, with a focus on criminal, administrative and government law, regulatory advice and statutory interpretation.

Previously, Luke has worked in legal roles at the Department of Communities and Justice and NSW Police Force. In these roles, Luke among other things practiced in administrative law and litigation, and has significant experience in administrative-decision making, conducting administrative review litigation in various jurisdictions and providing advice on general administrative law issues.
