James has over twenty years’ experience in administrative law, reviews and appeals, investigations, and administrative and regulatory decision-making. He has represented the Commonwealth government at the Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT), investigated claims for compensation under the CDDA scheme, conducted complex investigations against Commonwealth government departments and agencies, led high-performing complaint-handling and investigation teams, and made hundreds of regulatory decisions concerning aged care providers.
