Duncan Young has had a range of technology and statistical leadership roles at the Australian Bureau of Statistics and Statistics New Zealand over the last eighteen years. In addition to his roles in Australia, Duncan has worked with the United Nations to provide on the ground assistance to Censuses in Vietnam and Myanmar, and was on the expert group for the development for the UN’s manual for the 2020 round of Censuses. Duncan was also on the UK’s Beyond Census 2011 International Review Panel.  Duncan has received the Australian Government Young ICT Professional of the Year, the Young Public Sector Leader Award and the Australian Statistician’s Award. Duncan is an ANZSOG EMPA graduate.
